Library - General Rules
General Rules for Library:

• It is obligatory on all students of the College to be a member of the library.

• Member shall observe silence in the Reading Room and should avoid any type of conversation in the Reading Room to avoid any annoyance.

• Use of cell phone in the Library Reading Room is strictly prohibited.

• Members shall not smoke or spit in any part of the library.

• Members are requested not to shelve the books/periodicals themselves.

• If members are responsible for any damage to the books or any other property belonging to the library and shall therefore be penalized accordingly and disciplinary action will be initiated against them.

• Members are requested to deposit all their personal belonging to the help desk to take facility the library work.

• Upon any infringement of the library rules the membership and privilege for admission in the library stand cancelled.

• Student may call for one volume of a book previously lended without previous notice for consultation.

• The Head of the Institution reserves the right to suspend the membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.

Library Membership and Guidelines:

• The library membership is primarily for the use of Faculty, Research Scholars, Students and Non-Teaching Employees of the College.

• The privilege of borrowing books from the library is restricted.

• On special request, outsiders (Faculty, Students, Research Scholars of other Colleges and Universities) are also permitted for a shorter period for research with written permission of the Head of the Institution. It is to be kindly noted that our G. B. has consigned to have free to our in-house library facilities for the Research Scholars under the supervision of the Teachers of this institution.

• Ex-Library members are also permitted as special members.

• Every member will be issued ‘Identity Card’.

• Whenever a member retires or leaves the College a ‘No Due (Library Clearance) Certificate’ is issued.
