The library commenced its computerization data work through the WINISIS 1.4 software in the year 2000. Through which 20% of data entry work was completed. Library software (WINISIS 1.4) is designed according to the Common Communication Format (CCF) and in keeping with the standards of ISO 2709. This software used in our College on and from 2000 to 2005. However, taking into consideration the future developments in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the institution purchase of advanced and comprehensive Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS) namely “SOUL 1.0 NETWORK VERSION” in the year 2006.


The College library is presently using upgrade Network Version “SOUL 2.0 NETWORK VERSION”. It supports the MARC–21 format. Through which 80% of data entry work is completed. It supports Unicode which is a must for libraries with collection in Indian languages. Basic modules are Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, Indexing and OPAC. On sight training programme were organized by the INFLIBNET Centre at Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar at Gujarat for the Librarian and Information Scientist to get conversant with the functioning of the new software. Users can search documents and e-documents by author, title, subject, call number, accession number, publisher and keyword etc. through Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Books are classified according to Dewey decimal classification 21st edition for arranging the books and non book materials.
